Turenscape International Student Internship Program
Turenscape International Student Internship Program is looking for outstanding student from worldwide universities. It is
aimed at setting up a diversified talent supply for Turenscape's
future development as well as providing international
students with opportunities to develop themselves and
obtain work experience. Through the participation of Turenscape
internship program, you get the chance to work, and to experience life in China.
1. International Student Internship Requirements
>Full-time university student from outside the People's Republic of China
>At least 2 years of university study
>Previous experience in related field
>20-28 years of age
>Fluent in English

>FAQs for the Student Internship:
Q. Do I have to be a student?
A. Yes. You must be a student currently enrolled in a university
or a graduate student.
Q. What is the minimum and maximum amount of time for the
International Student Internship program?
A. The minimum amount of time for the International Student
Internship program is three months and the maximum is up to
6 months.
Q. When can I apply for an internship?
A. You can apply for an internship anytime during the whole
year. One important thing you must take note is that we have
public holidays May 1-7, Oct. 1-7. and the Spring Festival (the time is not fixed
but always during Jan. or Feb.).
Q. Are there any documents I should prepare for the application?
A. Yes. Please send:
" a copy of your college transcript(s)
" a copy of resume and portfolios including your design
or planning works
" a letter explaining your academic and career goals
" Please specify when you would prefer to start and end
your internship

From Zhongguancun Bridge to Shangdi, bus No.826 or No.323
will take you to Tsinghua University west gate station. The
No.656, 365, 982 then goes on to Shangdi 5 street station.
The journey time is about one and a half hours. We suggest
that you take a taxi for your first exit from Beijing Airport.
>After you arrive
Checklist of things to do after you have arrived at the Turenscape:
" Register with the Human Resource Office (Room A105).
" Photocopy your passport (main page and visa) and keep
in a safe place.
" Register with the Financial Affairs Office (Room A101)
and get your food card.
" Register with the Administrative Office (Room D106)
to check into your apartment and pick up your key.
" Register with Shangdi Policy Station within 24 hours of your arrival in China (Add: No.7 Building,
No.4 Section,Shangdi Dongli)
" Meet with work team director and confirm your professional
position.

Business Visit (F) Visa
"F" Visa is issued to an alien who is invited to
China for a visit, an investigation, a lecture, to do business,
scientific-technological and culture exchanges, short-term
advanced studies or internship for a period of no more than
six months.
How to apply?
1. You must go to the visa office of the Embassy or Consulate
-General in the consular jurisdiction in which you live to
submit the application; or
2. If you cannot go personally, you may entrust someone
else or a travel/visa agent to go to the visa office of
the Embassy or Consulate for the application process.

The following information aims to help you settle down quickly
in Beijing, and to make the most of your time in Beijing.
" Visa
Police Registration:
You must register with the police within 24 hours after arrival
in China
You can go with the international student adviser preparing
the documents for your registration.
The international student adviser Mr Tao Wen can be found at Room A103.
Open hours of the police: 8:30am-12:00am, 14:00pm-17:00pm
You must register with the police again if you
1. change the residence address
2. extension of leave to remain in China
Extension of Visa:
Usually, the validity of a Single Entry or Double Entry "F"
visa is 90 days or 180 days from the date of issue. This means
the holder of the visa shall enter China no later than 90
days or 180 days from the date of issue, otherwise the visa
is expired and is null and void.
if the length of your stay will exceed the valid date on your visa, you should process visa extension application procedures to Exit &
Entry Administration, Public Security Bureau in Beijing before
expires, each time extension cannot exceed 3 months, the accumulated
resident period cannnot exceed one year. When you request a visa extension
application, you must provide the following materials:
1. Your valid passport and visa;
2. Host units' official letters
3. The official seal of the unit on a filled out "Application
Form for Visaˇ˘Residence Permit", and a recent,
two inch, bareheaded, full-faced photo.
Student Internship
Students will be able to experience and get involved within chineseChinese professional work dynamic with chinese architects and other chinese students. Interns are expected to follow the chinese normal working standards.

Compensation:
Students are expected to pay their stay at Beijing, aside from the accomodation, food compensation (240 RMB/month) and cash compensation ($1,400 RMB/month) given by Turenscape.Your food card should be turned to the Financial Affairs Office
on the last day of each month so our staff will get it charged
for the next month.

Taxi
Taxi in Beijing are not expensive. All taxi have a star-up
payment of 10 RMB(7.8RMB is equivalent to 1USD). 2RMB per
kilometer will be asked after 3 kilometers and 3RMB per kilometer
with the total distance over 15 kilometers. Waiting time costs
2RMB every 10 minutes.
Haidian District
Haidian District/Precinct is a precinct of the municipality
of Beijing. It lies towards the northwestern part of the greater
urban area.
It is 431 square kilometres in area, making it the second-largest
precinct in urban Beijing (after Chaoyang District)/Precinct,
and is home to 1.75 million inhabitants (2002). However, in
comparison to other precincts, a higher percentage of its
inhabitants do not have the governmental residential certificates
for long-term residence, because Haidian Precinct is where
most universities are located and many of its inhabitants
are college students. Accordingly, the district is often referred
to as the "University District" by foreigners living
in Beijing. Its postal code is 100080.
