Ecological Benefits

  • The artificial wetland at Liaoning Public Security Judicial Management Cadre Institute uses recycled water as its water source, and the wetland has a significant effect on the removal of water quality pollutants, with a 74.9% reduction in Total Phosphorus (TP), a 61% reduction in Ammonia Nitrogen (NH₃-N), a 41.18% reduction in Chemical Oxygen Demand (COD), and a 64.71% reduction in Suspended Solids (SS). The fertility of the wetland substrate soil has improved, with a significant increase in organic matter and total nitrogen content.
  • The wetland exhibits good biodiversity, with a record of 37 species of plants from 22 families and 37 genera, covering forest, shrub, grassland, and shallow aquatic habitats.
  • The wetland reuses 103,800 cubic meters of water annually, saving approximately 67,000 yuan in water resource costs, and more than 80% of users express satisfaction with its ecological landscape and functions.
  • The wetland has achieved the comprehensive goals of water purification, soil improvement, and landscape enhancement, serving as a model for ecological sustainable design on campus.
