Social Benefits

  • Zhongshan Qijiang Park and Beijing Shougang Park, as models of industrial heritage transformation, have been studied for their Ecosystem Cultural Services (CES). The results show that both parks provide a rich array of Ecosystem Cultural Services (CES), with recreational entertainment, aesthetics, and cultural heritage and spiritual services being the most valued by the public.
  • Zhongshan Qijiang Park performs best in natural ecological services, but the satisfaction with aesthetics and sense of place in the industrial heritage area is relatively low; Shougang Park's recreational and natural ecological areas stand out in aesthetic services, but the sense of place in the industrial heritage area needs optimization.
  • Overall, the public satisfaction for both parks exceeds 3.8 points, indicating that while preserving industrial cultural heritage, they have effectively enhanced ecological and cultural values.
