Harbin Wetland Park

- Like many cities in the northeast of China, Harbin – located in the floodplain of the Songhuajiang River – is a typical wetland habitat subject to flooding, with variations of 2 meters in the water table between dry and wet seasons. Recently, a fast-paced urban development caused severe stormwater inundation as well as the discharge of contaminated stormwater into the river.
