The 9th "Celebrating Olmsted" Webinar will be held on September 20, 2022, at 11:00 PM (Beijing Time). This webinar is part of a series organized by the Olmsted Parks Association to celebrate the 200th anniversary of the birth of Frederick Law Olmsted, the famous American landscape architect and social reformer. Olmsted and his team designed thousands of landscape projects, greatly influencing American society, life, and culture.
The theme for this year-long celebration is "Olmsted 200: Parks for the People," with over 120 organizations in the U.S. participating. The event will explore Olmsted's profound impact on the natural landscape and social structure of the United States, with a focus on how landscape design can address contemporary issues such as social justice and climate change, while supporting the development of livable cities.
The webinar will feature prominent thinkers and practitioners from around the world, who will discuss how they are continuing Olmsted’s legacy and exploring solutions to urgent global issues through landscape design.
