EmergenCITY 2022 – Resilient Cities Workshop
EmergenCITY, established in 2020, is an organization focused on research related to resilient infrastructure, particularly addressing issues like crisis response and disaster prevention in digital cities. During the 2022 EmergenCITY Activity Week, a "Resilient Cities" workshop was held to explore how future cities can maintain the well-being and safety of their residents.
Workshop Details:
The workshop took place from June 20–23, 2022, featuring six thematic sessions. These sessions discussed various topics related to urban resilience through speeches and panel discussions. Internationally renowned scholars, including Herbert Dreiseitl and Kongjian Yu, were invited to share their insights on resilient cities.
The topics of discussion focused on climate resilience and digital resilience of cities, with specific attention to strategies for dealing with floods in the Alr Valley. The workshop was also part of the Global Resilience Design (DRG) student competition, which involved participants from seven universities worldwide.

Speaker:
Professor Kongjian Yu, Dean of the College of Architecture and Landscape at Peking University and Chief Designer at Turenscape, will deliver a keynote speech on June 20, 17:00-18:30 (Beijing Time). He will also take part in an interview during the session.
