The 2006 ASLA Annual Meeting & EXPO and 43rd IFLA World Congress Provides Global Perspectives

[I]General Sessions and Education Sessions will cover a variety of global issues.[/I] The 2006 ASLA Annual Meeting & EXPO and 43rd IFLA World Congress, to be held October 6–10 in Minneapolis, will have a global focus, with a number of leading international practitioners on hand to lead education programs and answer questions. [B]General Sessions[/B] Three of this year's General Sessions feature international speakers. The Opening General Session speaker will be Jean-Michel Cousteau, architect, educator, environmentalist, and film producer. Also on Saturday, the IFLA Plenary Session will feature Kongjian Yu, International ASLA, Dean and Professor of the Graduate School of Landscape Architecture at Peking University and founder of the award-winning firm Turenscape. On Sunday, Catherine Mosbach, International ASLA, a prominent landscape architect from Paris, will discuss her work, which is noted for fostering a connection between person and location.
