2007-06-01
On the morning of May 31th, a group of seven architecture students and their professor from The University of Virginia visited Turenscape. President Yu Kongjian himself gave a tour of the offices, telling the students what sort of work goes on in each of Turenscape’s offices. Afterwards, he discussed with them the philosophy of Turenscape and answered their questions about urban development in China.
In the afternoon, the group went to the GSLA at Peking University where the deputy dean of the school gave a short presentation of a project based on Yu Kongjian’s urban planning theory: Negative Planning. Lastly, the students visited the classical garden and architecture design along Beida’s lake.
