Dr Kongjian Yu：Doctor of Design, Harvard Graduate School of Design.
Dean and Professor, the Graduate School of Landscape Architecture, Peking University.
Dr Kongjian Yu was awarded his Doctor of Design Degree at The Harvard Graduate School of Design in 1995. He is also the founder and dean of the Graduate School of Landscape Architecture at Peking University, and the founder and president of Turenscape, an internationally awarded firm with more than 200 professionals and one of the first and largest private landscape architecture firms in China.
Dr Yu has practiced actively and has been awarded four ASLA Honor Awards for planning and design, in 2002 and 2005, and 2006, by the American Society of Landscape Architecture.

Dr Yu is also the winner of the National Gold Medal of Fine Arts (2004, the Cultural Ministry, China), and twice winner of the Human Habitat Model Award for designed projects (2002, 2005, the Construction Ministry, China). In 2004, he was awarded the Overseas Chinese Pioneer Achievement Medal by the Chinese central government for his overall contribution to the nation.
Dr Yu has published widely, including more than 150 papers and 15 books. His major research interests include the theory and method of landscape architecture and urban planning; the cultural aspect of landscape; landscape security patterns, and ecological infrastructure.
In May 2006, Kongjian delivered the Key Note presentation at theAILA-NZILA IFLA eastern region conference in Sydney. His theme then was "Landscape Architecture and the ART of Survival. Since then he has published a book on this theme。

Romilly Madew：Romilly is the Chief Executive of the Green Building Council.  
Romilly was previously a consultant to the Green Building Council managing Advocacy/Public affairs.  In 2005 Romilly authored the Green Building Council’s publication “The Dollars and Sense of Green Buildings 2006 – Building the Business Case for Green Commercial Buildings in Australia”.  
Romilly has been involved with the development of the Sustainable Building Pathways report, the national summit on Sustainable Communities and the Business Leaders Forum on Sustainable Development. 
Romilly represents the Green Building Council on the Australian Sustainable Built Environment Council (ASBEC) and is involved with their Climate Change project.
Romilly is a Board Member of the Australian Capital Territory Governments, Land Development Agency and Chair of their Urban Committee.  Romilly is also a Member of the Canberra Biennial Advisory Committee 
Previously Romilly was the Executive Director – ACT, Property Council of Australia, and their Executive Director for the national internal portfolio of Sustainability.  
Romilly presents and writes regularly on Sustainability and the Built Environment.

Dr Xuemei Bai：CSIRO Sustainable Ecosystems 
Dr. Bai joined CSIRO Sustainable Ecosystem Division in October 2006 as a Senior Science Leader and Stream Leader of the Urban Systems Program. 
With an educational background in science and engineering, Dr. Bai’s current research is centered on urban-industrial ecology and urban-industrial environmental management and policy towards sustainability in Asia. Recent research interests include: the process and mechanism of urban environmental evolution in Asia; urban metabolism (energy, materials and other eco-flows and stocks in cities and their linkage to urban environmental performances and policies); urban water resources management, and river basin pollution control and sustainability; interactions between industries and cities over time and space; application of circular economy concept and its impact on solid waste management in Asian cities; integrating global environmental concerns into local management in cities in developing countries; and urban long-term development and environmental management strategies. 
Dr. Bai has authored/coauthored numerous peer reviewed journal papers and book chapters on urban environment, environmental policy and water resource management in China. Dr. Bai is the Principal Investigator and chief editor of an ongoing international workshop and book project (tentative title: Cities as Environmental Heroes) exploring the linkages between urbanisation and environmental change, which has chapters contributed by more than 25 scientists worldwide. She is the guest editor of a special issue of Journal of Industrial Ecology on Industrial Ecology and Global Impacts of Cities, which was published in May 2007.
Dr. Bai’s work has received international recognition. She was invited as an Associate Professor in the Practice of Urban Ecology by the Yale University School of Forestry & Environmental Studies, where she taught urban ecology and urban environmental management for 2 years (2001-2003). Currently Dr. Bai is a member of Science Steering Committee of Human Dimensional Program for Global Environmental Change (IHDP) Industrial Transformation Core Project. She has served as a Lead Author for Urban Ecosystem chapter in Millennium Ecosystem Assessment. She is serving as a Steering Committee member of the US National Academies Sustainable Cities Initiative. She is a Contributing Editor of Environment: Science and Policy for Sustainable Development. She is a member of Yale F&ES Leadership Council.

Dr Tony Wong：BE(Hons), PhD, MIEAust, Peng ，Director, Ecological Engineering Pty Ltd Chief Executive Officer – Facility for Advancing Water Biofiltration
Dr Tony Wong is a founding partner of Ecological Engineering and Chief Executive Officer of the Facility for Advancing Water Biofiltration at Monash University.  
Tony has over 25 years of experience in the fields of water resources engineering and management, advancing Ecologically Sustainable Development, particularly in integrated urban water cycle management and Water Sensitive Urban Design (WSUD).  
His expertise has been gained through consulting, research, and academia.  Tony has led many innovative designs of stormwater quality improvement and water conservation/alternative water sources measures, and their integration into the urban form underpins WSUD as we know it in Australia today.  
Tony provides strategic advice to governments, and the land development industry, on sustainable urban water management and has led the development of many state and corporate policies on WSUD.  
He has co-authored a number of book chapters for UNESCO and was Editor-in-Chief of Engineers Australia’s Book Australian Runoff Quality: A guide to Water Sensitive Urban Design.  
He currently serves on the Urban Water Advisory Group to the Australian Commonwealth Government’s National Water Commission and recently joined the Prime Minister’s Science Engineering and Innovation Council’s working group on Water for Cities.  He also chairs the IWA/IAHR International Working Group on WSUD.
