Business Moment: Climate Change-Event at BNDES Discusses National and International Experiences in City Reconstruction

The National Bank for Economic and Social Development (BNDES) held the debate "City Reconstruction and Climate Change: International and National Experiences for Rio Grande do Sul and Brazil" on Tuesday, the 18th. During the opening of the event, which took place at the Bank's headquarters in Rio, the institution's president, Aloizio Mercadante, emphasized the importance of the green agenda.

Sponge Cities – In the second part of the seminar, BNDES welcomed two international guests: Kongjian Yu, an architect and landscape designer from Peking University, a pioneer of the sponge cities concept and winner of the 2023 Oberlander Prize; and Emma Torres, Vice President of the Latin America region at the UN SDSN and Co-Chair of SDSN Amazonia.
