Peking University News：The Maotai Eco-Metaverse Designed by Kongjian Yu Team Won the 2024 WAF GROHE Water Prize

On September 26, 2024, the World Architecture Festival (WAF) announced that the "Maotai Eco-Metaverse," designed by Professor Kongjian Yu’s team, won the 2024 GROHE Water Prize. The project utilizes nature-based ecological engineering to capture waste heat from Maotai’s brewing process, purify wastewater, recycle water resources, and convert them into organic fertilizer. It also creates a greenhouse science center and terraced wetland garden. This design sets a new international benchmark for zero-carbon processes and ecological production in the global brewing industry.
