Following Kongjian Yu's death in September 2025, attention has renewed to his contributions to landscape architecture and climate-resilient design. Landscapes for Adaptation documents sixty built projects by Yu and Turenscape over two decades, analyzing their environmental performance and assembling practical strategies for adapting cities to flooding and ecological change. The book shows how Yu's "Sponge City" approach challenged conventional infrastructure and advanced nature-based alternatives, preserving evidence of a practice whose influence will continue beyond his lifetime.
