Project Profile

Baimajian Ecological Park is located in Fengqiao Town in mid-south of Suzhou‘s High-tech Zone. The park is a major area for tourism in western part of Fengqiao Town. The planning site is to the east of Wuxian woods, the north of Tian Mountain, the south of Hua Shan Road and Mayun River and west of Shangfang Mountain.

The total site area is approximately 711 hectares (10664 acres) (tentative) which involves two administrative villages, 723 households, where arable land is 80 hectares (1198 acres), mountain area 463 hectares (6950 acres), village area 19 hectares (286 acres), and dry land area 149 hectares (2230 acres).

Through systematic analysis, Baimajian Ecological Park was defined in this plan as ‘a natural ecological leisure resort in Suzhou’. Its natural, ecological and cultural characteristics will be the main attraction forming the urban leisure pattern of ‘Jinji Lake in the east (city leisure resort --water and city), Baimajian in the west (village leisure resort -- mountains and rivers and villages)’, supplementing each other with the classical gardens sight-seeing in Suzhou. Under the premise of respecting the human existing topography, it will increase the ecological infrastructure construction.

The aim is to design this eco-park into an eco-leisure area surrounded by green hills with the charm of the south of the lower reaches of the Yangtze River. The park will be installed all kinds of modern living facilities, providing the citizens an ideal leisure place to enjoy a dreamlike and back-to-nature life.
