Project Profile

1. Project Statement

The project is located on the edge of the city center, 3.2 km from the Dongfang City Government and 1.2 km from the Bansuo Town Government. It is adjacent to the Dongfang Station of the West Loop High-Speed Railway and the bus station, only 1.0 km from Dongfang Station. The project is at the center of a 500-meter radius service area, predominantly commercial and residential land, with main functions including urban display and citizen leisure. The total design area is 38,200 square meters.

2. Objective and Challenge

(1) Prominent Location

The site is located at the intersection of Jiefang East Road and Yongan East Road, easily attracting attention. It is also the main route from the high-speed railway station to the city center, serving as the primary urban display interface.

(2) Urban Image Display

Opposite the site is the bus station, which plays a crucial role in showcasing the city's image. The flat terrain and open view of the site allow for design considerations that introduce appropriate variations in elevation to add interest.

(3) Existing Vegetation

There are a few tall trees on the site that are in good condition and can be reused in the design.

(4) Commercial Integration

The commercial buildings on the south side of the site are future resources that can be integrated with the project to complement each other and collectively attract more visitors.

(5) Target Audience

The surrounding area is mainly commercial, followed by residential land, concentrating the service population.

(6) Obstructed Views

High-rise buildings around the site, especially those east of National Highway G225, obstruct views and impact the landscape display interface.

3. Design Strategy

The theme of "Gratitude" highlights the inclusive, open, ecological, vibrant, and shady city characteristics of Dongfang City, creating a leisure plaza for urban residents.

4. Conclusion

The plan will make full use of favorable conditions and transform unfavorable factors through space creation, site texture division, and planting. These measures aim to enhance the site's image display function while creating a pleasant environment for citizen leisure and entertainment.
