Nanchang Fish Tail Park Crossroad Bridge serves as both the main entrance to the southwest corner of Fish Tail Park and a pedestrian landscape bridge connecting two park zones. The entrance design includes landscape greenery, a logo wall, and integrated park service facilities such as a teahouse, a light dining room, a VIP lounge, and an outdoor recreational area. Through thoughtful spatial and architectural strategies, the overall landscape quality of the area is significantly enhanced. Inspired by the image of an egret taking flight, the bridge's superstructure adopts a continuous steel frame design. The piers are constructed with sculptural steel columns, connected to pile caps and prefabricated PHC (prestressed high-strength concrete) piles for the foundation. The ZX section of the bridge deck is paved with aluminum alloy grating and C45 waterproof reinforced concrete slabs, while the AX section uses only C45 waterproof reinforced concrete slabs.
As a decorative bridge structure, the project complements the main steel framework and adheres to a design philosophy that integrates architectural and structural aesthetics. Prioritizing design intent, energy efficiency, and environmental protection, the bridge incorporates elements such as railings, landscape seating, and shading structures to achieve the envisioned landscape effect. The railing system uses dual-layer custom perforated aluminum panels supported by stainless steel frames. The panels feature zigzag profiles with rhythmic, patterned perforations. Lighting fixtures are cleverly concealed within the railing and beneath the cantilevered ends of the bridge, allowing the bridge to glow softly at night without exposing light sources—creating a sleek, minimalist appearance by day, and an elegant, integrated illumination by night.
