Project Profile

Situated in Jindong District, Jinhua City, the project connects to Wucheng District in the west and Yiwu City in the east, occupying a central position in the Jinyi Metropolitan Area. While most of the Wujiang River corridor has already been developed, this project focuses on selective upgrades and local interventions. The design introduces riverside corridors and landscape pathways into newly developed residential areas, revitalizing the riverfront. Through targeted updates, it integrates neighborhood and community service functions, enhances the urban role of the Yiwu section, and strengthens the relationship between the city and the river.

The overall design area of the project is about 88 hectares, including approximately 59 hectares on both sides of the Yiwu River and 29 hectares along the Wangtanxi Stream. The central landscape pedestrian bridge is a key slow-traffic connector between both sides of the Yiwu River, with a bridge area of around 3,684 square meters. It serves as both an ecological leisure hub and a prominent landmark for public movement. The bridge improves access between the riverbanks, reducing time and travel costs for pedestrians, and its architectural form is striking and unique.

The bridge’s design concept is inspired by "The Light of the Future"—gathering at the bridgehead to greet the morning glow, and looking forward to a future shaped by technology. Beyond its rich spatial functions, the bridge includes public restrooms and management facilities. Two landscaped viewing platforms are placed on the bridge to provide resting and sightseeing spaces for visitors.
