Concept and Design Inspiration

Rooted in the philosophy of blending architecture with landscape, Whispering Bamboo is conceived as a cylindrical enclosure of perforated brick that encapsulates a grove of living bamboo. In ancient China, bamboo has long been associated with musical instruments, particularly wind chimes and flutes, which respond to the natural forces of air and movement. Here, the installation revives that cultural memory, transforming it into a contemporary spatial experience where architecture itself "breathes" with nature.

The structure is designed as a dual-layered enclosure with an open-air core. A winding pathway ascends between its inner and outer walls, leading visitors upward to an elevated second-floor corridor.
